Our relationship with Heriot-Watt University goes back to 2015. Over that time, we have worked with them to promote their world-changing teaching across five campuses in three different countries. Our most recent commissions are below and are based around animation work to help promote GRID (Global Research Innovation Discovery) which is a state-of-the-art facility in their Edinburgh campus aimed at promoting the incredible work that goes on in the University.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: Digital Twins

Digital Twins are truly remarkable things. They signify an advance in technology that will change how we build structures to ensure they’re sustainable and as carbon efficient as possible. At Heriot-Watt University, researchers at GRID have developed a truly innovative way of exploring buildings before they even exist. They commissioned us to show how their groundbreaking work in Digital Twins can change the world…and we did it with our own unique brand of innovation.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: The Innovation Challenge 2022

In its most recent version, the Heriot-Watt University Innovation Challenge was awarded to students at Heriot-Watt campuses across the world and gave them the chance to implement their amazing ideas in practical ways; from designer robotics to sustainable fabrics. We were commissioned by Heriot-Watt to tell the stories of the students who are true innovators in their chosen fields.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: The Innovation Challenge 2021

Using self-shot content from students and staff we were asked to create a mixed-media film to launch their Innovation Challenge. The challenge seeks to find the next generation of students from campuses in Scotland, Dubai, and Malaysia to come up with a new idea or solution to solve a particular problem that runs every year.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: Intellectual Property

Protecting and supporting Intellectual Property is vitally important where real innovation is concerned. With so many stakeholders and invested parties working to create real life-changing solutions, the complete support that GRID offers its partners truly sets it apart.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: Investors

In this animation, GRID asked us to communicate how external partners could seek to invest in the amazing R&D that's taking place every day at their centre.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: Corporate Partners

GRID at Heriot-Watt asked us to create original pieces of animation to help them launch and that speak to their core principles of innovation, research, and development. In the case of their Corporate Partners, the animation has to introduce GRID and explain how working with them could help develop a new type of relationship and be beneficial for students, staff, businesses, and the university.

GRID at Heriot-Watt: Staff and Students

GRID asked us to communicate how the University's staff and students can work with them to realise their ambitions in developing products and services that can change the world.
